Application documents and self-checks
Structured self-checks that show you what to improve in your own words. Mila does not write documents for you and does not review or store anything you upload.
CV self-check
Is your CV ready to submit?
Answer each question about the version you plan to send.
- Is your CV one to two pages with no unexplained gaps?
- Are dates formatted consistently throughout?
- Does each entry say what you did, not just your job title?
- Have you included measurable results where they exist?
- Are education entries listed with the most recent first?
- Have you listed language levels using a recognised scale?
- Have you removed irrelevant personal details?
- Is the file saved as a PDF with a clear file name?

Motivation letter self-check
Is your motivation letter specific enough?
Generic letters are the most common weakness in student applications.
- Does the letter name the specific program and university?
- Does the opening say something only you could write?
- Do you explain why this program, not just why this country?
- Do you connect your academic background to the curriculum?
- Do you give concrete examples rather than adjectives?
- Do you explain what you want to do after the program?
- Have you removed generic praise of the university?
- Is it within the requested length and format?
- Have you had someone else proofread it?

Translations, apostille and legalisation
Official documents often need extra steps that take weeks. Start these before you need them.
Universities may require academic documents in Italian or English, translated by an accepted translator. Check who is accepted before paying for a translation.
